Cross-Border: Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia to Muara, Brunei via Labuan Island

It was my second day in Kota Kinabalu and I was thinking to visit Labuan Island before I headed to Brunei for my flight back to the Philippines. The bus from KK to Brunei will take more or less 10 hours and I can’t do it anymore since I take the bus from Brunei to KK. The weather in Borneo is really hot and there are 4 borders to cross its very tiring route. I went to Jesseltson Port just 5 minutes’ walk from Hotel Grandis where I stayed for 2 nights to buy a ticket to Brunei via Labuan Island on the next day and I pay 60 Ringgit and extra 5 Ringgit for a 1st class seat to Labuan. I am roaming around the pier and nothing an interesting, my planned was to do an Island hopping in Gaya and nearby island, since there’s a lot of tourists on that day I decided to cancel it because I will not enjoy the tour and the beach is crowded though.
The next morning I wake up around 6am to fix my things before I take my breakfast since the departure time of the fast craft is 8am sharp. I check out by 7:3…

Exploring Tokyo, Japan

Japan is one of the country in my travel goals before getting married or to settle down. In my college days I always watch an anime in Tv and one of my favorites is the YAKITATI JAPAN at first I never ever expected that my dream will come true.

When I applied a Japan Visa I fly to Manila from my work place in Boracay Island because some of the accredited agencies are located in Metro Manila. 2 weeks before my flight I collect all the requirements needed of the embassy.

I applied my visa through Reli tours & Travel Agency and i paid 950.00 pesos for their handling fee. After 10 days I got a text message from the agency stated the my passport is ready for pick-up, but instead they send it to me via courier.

I received my passport and I am so happy that my application got approved the happiness and tears in eyes when I saw a Visa on my Passport.
I fly to Japan via Tokyo after 1 month and I can't believe that I am in Japan already.  My first impression is Japan is a great country. …

Land Travel By Bus: Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia

There are three ways to reach Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia from Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. First ride a ferry via Labuan Island It will take 7 hours and land travel by bus via Sarawak, Malaysia it will take more or less 10 hours or take an hour flight from Brunei Airport.
Let's focus in land travel. There's no concrete info online regarding this route before I travel, but I really want to do it just because of the Passport stamp that I will get before I reach Kota Kinabalu.

One month before my travel date I purchase a bus ticket online via Sipitang Express. This company is the only one offering a trip to Kota Kinabalu via Lawas, Sarawak MalaysiaI was so nervous at first because of the multiple entry in the two countries. I was consulting some of the travel blogger friends regarding on this matter doing a multiple entry into a visa free country. They said nothing to worry about its fine.
I left the hotel in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei around 7am since the bus will leave at 8am sha…

I arrived in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia from Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei around 6 in the evening already was supposed to be at 4:30pm  that because due to the traffic in the boarder.

The weather in Borneo is quite hot sometimes they hit at 37 degrees as per my friend who’s working in Bandar Seri Begawan.  The Hotel
The Hotel Grandis are one of the luxurious hotels in Kota Kinabalu that’s offering a great ocean view from some of their rooms and in the Sky Blu Bar at the 12th floor.  It was built in a very great location in the center of Kota Kinabalu. Upon arrival in Kota Kinabalu, instead of riding in a cab I decided to walk around to find the hotel. After 15 minutes I finally found the property.  The welcoming staff of the hotel assisted me in my check-in process, after presenting my passport to the beautiful young lady in the front desk gave my key card with the short briefing of the hotel policy.
