Place to visit in the "CITY OF LOVE" | ILOILO CITY




Iloilo City is highly urbanized City on Panay Island, which is composed of 7 districts namely, Jaro, Molo, Mandurriao, Villa Arevalo, La Paz, La Puz and Iloilo City Proper. 



Here's the few Place to visit in the City of LOVE.


JARO CATHEDRAL (Our Lady of Candles)

The national shrine of Ñuestra Señora De La Candelaria is located in the district of Jaro, Iloilo City. 






Casa Mariquit is the ancestral house of  former Vice President Fernando Lopez Sr. located in the Jaro, Iloilo City just 150 meters from Jaro Cathedral . This house build in 200 years ago and one of the oldest heritage houses in the City of "LOVE" Iloilo.

 



NELLY GARDEN

The Lopez Mansion or known as Nelly Garden is a national heritage house build 1928 located also in Jaro District 500 meters from Jaro Plaza.

LIZARES MANSION

Lizares Mansion is one of the landmarks in Iloilo City. It was built in 1937 by Don Emiliano in Jaro District. It is known as Agilucum School, and it's one of the Catholic schools in Iloilo.

MOLO CHURCH (ST. ANNE PARISH)

Molo Church is a famous in Spanish-Colonial Church and one the tourist site in Molo District. It is also known as "The feminist Church" because all of the 16 statue women saints are inside the church.



MOLO MANSION

The Yusay-Consing Mansion or commonly known as Molo Mansion Located in the district of Molo just in front of Molo Church.



ILOILO ESPLANADE 

Iloilo Esplanade is located on Diversion Road (Sen. Benigno Aquino Jr. avenue)in Mandurriao District it is along with Iloilo river and that was opened last August 18, 2012.





CAMIÑA BALAY NGA BATO

Camiña Balay Nga Bato is one the old houses in Iloilo City that open for the public, manage by the 6th generation of their family. It is located in District of Villa.

Bantayan Island via Estancia, Iloilo

Bantayan Island it is not a place for a shopping or an adventure. This island is all about peace. If you want to have  break in the crowded city, the noise, the pollution and the stress, then come to this peaceful island of Bantayan in Cebu and discover what Living in Paradise. My friend Dennis and I decided to have   Bantayan Island instead of Isla Gigantes in Carles, we have little idea about getting in Bantayan via Estancia, Iloilo, after our Panay Island visit we headed to Estancia and stay for an overnight because we don’t know if the route is  still working    with  pump boat crossing to Bantayan Island . Estancia Port Updated Schedule of Estancia, Iloilo to Bantayan Island vice versa We decided to do it on Monday; we left in our hotel in Iloilo around 8:00 am Sunday to catch the bus bound for Estancia in Tagbak Terminal.
